
麻豆社 is pleased to announce Dr. Catherine Campbell as the new Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, beginning June 2025. Dr. Campbell brings significant academic leadership experience, a deep commitment to student success, and a vision for interdisciplinary collaboration and growth at JCU.

Dr. Campbell joins John Carroll from St. Edward鈥檚 University, an independent Catholic institution founded by the Congregation of the Holy Cross, where she has served as Dean of the School of Behavioral & Social Sciences and Education for the past five years. Prior to that, she was Associate Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences at Roosevelt University in Chicago and a faculty member at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Clinical Psychology. Her extensive experience also includes serving as the Training Director for Graduate Clinical Programs in Clinical Psychology at Roosevelt University.

With a strong academic background in Clinical Health Psychology and Neuropsychology, Dr. Campbell鈥檚 research focuses on barriers to care and improving access to psychological services. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University and earned both her Master鈥檚 and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Texas. A Texas native, she completed her predoctoral internship at the University of Florida College of Public Health and Health Professions.

As she steps into her new role, Dr. Campbell is eager to support JCU鈥檚 strategic planning efforts, with a focus on enrollment growth. She plans to foster collaboration between the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Health, and the Boler College of Business, identifying opportunities for faculty and student research partnerships and academic innovation. She is also committed to enhancing student success by addressing achievement gaps and promoting the value of a liberal arts education.
